Can't start session

On the same PC, running Windows XP, I have 2 accounts for messenger.

With one of them, I can start a session (let's call it
(e-mail address removed)), while with the other I cannot (call it
(e-mail address removed)).

In (e-mail address removed) I can see under Options/Connection that I am
connected thru a device that is not UPnP or a device NAT restricted to
port (Administrator).

In (e-mail address removed) I cannot see such a connection.

Can it be a problem with my firwall ** I am using Norton internet
Security?

Any ideas are welcome.

Thank you veru much

Greetings,

Yes, a firewall certainly can block the broadcast packets and probing Messenger uses to
determine the connection information. Messenger can operate fine without knowing this
information though, although making direct connections (file transfer, webcam, etc.) may not
be reliable.
