Can't Sort on Memo or OLE

I am using Access 97 for a database of about 3500 records.
The datasheet table works fine, but a form based on the
table cannot be opened and I get "Cannot sort on memo or
OLE object (copy2.ref)with each attempt to enter the form.
It is quite possible that I attempted to sort on the one
memo field in the form. Is there any way to repair the
form so that it can be opened again or must I design a new
form based on the table?
Help will be greatly appreciated.

Is there any way to repair the
form so that it can be opened again

Open the form in design view (which *should* work); right mouseclick
the little square at the upper left intersection of the rulers and
select "Sorting and Grouping". Remove the Sort on the memo field.

John:
Thank you very much for the fix. In "Form Design" view
right clicking on the black box does not give me
the "Grouping and Sorting" option. However, if I attempt
to design a Report from the same dataset, I am able to
place the "Grouping and Sorting" icon on the Toolbar. Of
course, I am still able to create a new design, but I'm
just trying to find the lazy man's solution.
Much appreciation.

John was thinking of Reports.

Form Forms, in the "Data" tab of the Form Properties
window, there is an "Order By" Property you should check.

Thanks Van... yep, I was woolgathering!

Thank you so much for what turned out to be the solution
to my problem. You have saved me a great deal of time and
effort. By the way, what is the meaning of MVP?
