Hi there,

I think that I have a virus, but whenever I do a scan nothing shows.

When I try to shut down my notebook computer the icon for my norton
antivirus dissapears and my computer wont shut down. I have to unplugg the
electricity and remove the battery.

What to do?

It sounds as though the issue is with Norton Antivirus. Remove Norton
Antivirus and see if you still have the problem. Note, you may have to
check the Symantec web site for instructions on complete removal. Once
done, try shutting down the system, if you able to do so, Norton is the
culprit and you'll need to contact their tech support. From our end, all I
can advise in that case is be sure you have a version of Norton Antivirus
that is XP compatible and that you have any updates for the application.
