Ever since we updated the hilidays on Outlook 2000, we find that now we can't
shut down Outlook.
We can only shut it down through task manager but simply closing outlook or
exiting and logging off don't help.
Outlook just hangs until we force it closed through task manager.
We have all the latest windows & office updates loaded on the computer.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Jack - This was a common problem with Outlook 2000 at our company.

You'll need to have all the service packs applied (to SR-3) for Office 2000,
*then* apply the patch noted in the above Knowledge Base article. This patch
cured the shutdown hanging problems for me without fail.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response.
I had already installed the updates which you had mentioned and I went back
yesterday to verify that they were installed and unfortunately the problem
still continues.
We even tried copying the holiday file from another computer to this one but
it still doesn't want to close down.
