Why can't I set up my Windows Office or Outlook Express? Does this have
something to do withQwest? I'm having major difficulties sending any
attachments out or even simple emails on my Qwest Messenger. They tell me
at Qwest that Windows Vista is not compatible with POP3 or HTLP, is this
true?

Lisa

Which email program are you trying to use, Outlook or Windows Mail?
Outlook Express cannot be used with Vista.

Windows Mail can access POP & IMAP email accounts, but not HTTP accounts.

Outlook can access all 3 types of accounts.

It's not true. Millions of people are successfully using POP3 mail
with Vista.

I don't know what Qwest Messenger or HTLP is.

Whoever the "they" that is telling you that is either stupid or lying about
POP3 mail and Vista's Windows mail. If HTLP is a mistype for HTTP then
they're right about Windows Mail not working with HTTP accounts. However,
MS has a downloadable program that does do HTTP maul in Vista:
