I completely installed a new version of XP on my computer.
At the point of install where it restarts the computer and
is supposed to ask you about login info, there was a
conflict with my usb board and I got a black screen. At
this point I had to turn off the computer and take out the
board. When I started up, I could login as administrator,
but I could not use the New Users item under the Control
Panel to add/edit users. I could click on it, but the
hourglass would come up for a second and not change the
interface. I could click on other items in the control
panel without a problem. I can also add users if I go
through performance and maintenance, but I don't have the
fancy interface that I want through the Control Panel. Is
there a way to get this functionality back without doing
the install all over? Ideas???
