Hi

have recently got a new computer n would like to connect it to my old computer. Have 2 network cards and cross over lead, have run the wizard on both machines but they refuse 2 communicate. the link seems ok as transmit lights on the cards are active and the lan connection says its connected at speed of 100.00mbps but neither machine can see the other. Have installed/uninstalled components several times and run the wizard several times but still nothin. Wot am i doin wrong, Any idea

Thanks, Mark

Mark,

I ran into a similar situation when setting up a wireless
network.
I found that neither machine could have the XP firewall
enabled. If either one was enabled you couldn't see the
other machine.
