Just done wonderful online training tutorial on ability
to set user permissions to read, write, access shared
folders. Am logged in as full admin but when I right
clickon a shared folder there is no security tag allowing
me to adjust levels for different users - can anyone
help ?

If you are Using XP Home and by default you do not have the security tab.
You will need to complete the following workaround to get the security tab,
however remember this: all the incoming connections to XP Home are
authorized through the Guest account.
Workaround:
1. Download the FaJo Security File Extensions utility at
http://www.winload.de/download/20469/Utilities/Sicherheit/FaJo.XP.File.Security.Extension-v0.1.html.
2. Install
3. have fun turning XP Home into XP Pro : ) sort of

If you are using XP Pro press the "windows key", and the letter "E". Click
on tools, folder options, view, and uncheck the bottom check box that says
"use simple file sharing (recommended)", or something along those lines.
Whammo you have security tab.
