HELP

I running windows xp sp1a internet explorer 6. I noticed
that my firewall is not set. Which is news to me because
I know I set it up before.

When I go into control panel, network connections,
properties, advanced and check off protect my computer

I get this message:

"Can not enable shared access"

" Error 1068 the dependency group failed to start"

The only shared service I have is Kazaa. It shares on
directory and only that directory. I realize with new
updates Kazaa is becoming more and more intrusive. Now I
have not only kazaa desktop I have p2p networking, and
alnet.

I wish I could get some old version of Kazaa without this
intrusion.

Or maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree.

Does any body have answer for this problem?

Enable the following services using "Services.msc" [type in RUN box]

Application Layer Gateway Service
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness (NLA)
Plug and Play
Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
Remote Access Connection Manager
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
Telephony

1. Click Start | Run | and type "Services.msc"
2. Right-click the service that you want to configure, and then click Properties.
3. On the General tab, in the Startup type box, click Automatic.
4. Click OK and close the "Services" window.
