Cant send to a hotmail.com account from Mail

Sorry, I couldn't find any host named hotmail.com]. (#5.1.2)
Anyone got an ide why this happens?. I can send to the user with this host
from my one hotmail.co.uk account and it definitely exists.
 
It would be helpful if you included a verbatim copy of the complete error
message (right-click on it, copy, then paste in to a reply here).

I don't know if this is a typo, but you are showing a right bracket (])
at the end of hotmail.com. If that was indeed in the original error message,
that would explain the problem.
