When attempting to send email with pics Windows Mail starts to send the
email... but aborts with an error message "SPAM SPAM SPAM" (Good grief!) We
believe spam and phising are turned off? Mail without pics gets sent no
problem. We are not using ANY virus programs (firewall provided by our ISP)
We have only had ViSTA for a couple weeks but I am thinking ViSTA must be
blocking the outgoing mail? Our ISP says its not the mail server. Anyone
else have this problem? Thanks in advance... the village idiot in Minnesota
(my next computer is going to be a Mac!)

Some other program you are running is doing that. WinMail has no such
message.

Windows Mail never produces a "SPAM SPAM SPAM" error message.
The likely culprit is your third party firewall program. I would
definitely uninstall that since Vista's Windows Firewall is quite
adequate.

Thank you Frank and Gary! I have been trying to figure this out for hours!
Although I don't know much bout ViSTA (or computers at all) I think the
'error' message must be coming from Windows Mail? cuz we have no virus
software on this laptop AT ALL and i disabled our firewall... but we still
get that &*&%#! error message! For what its worth... I cut and pasted
the actual message:
-----------
An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Track Team', Account:
'mail.charter.net', Server: 'mail.charter.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server
Response: '550 Message identified as SPAM - Please visit
http://www.charter.com/postmaster', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error:
550, Error Number: 0x800CCC69
------------

cut and pasting the message was worth it all
The response is coming from your ISP's (Charter) email server , most likely
because of the number of pics or the number of people you are trying to send
it to.

this was copied from the Charter email support site : 550 Message Rejected -
Translation: The e-mail was flagged as SPAM by Charter anti-spam detection
system

that take your breath away.

IT FINALLY WORKS!!! For anyone else who may have this problem... here is
the solution:

Windows Mail > Tools> Security>Virus Protection > CHOOSE INTERNET ZONE! The
default was Restricted Sites Zone

ok I said it befor and i will say it again! THIS IS JUST TOOOOO
COMPLICATED... my next computer is going to be a Mac

thanks Kat :) yeah... my ISP apperantly didnt like the "restricted sites"
zone setting? ((but it still shouldnt be this complicated though))
