can't send outgoing emails

hi,
i have always used yahoo email, but got this new computer the other day and
found thise windows mail. i thought it would be great, but not. i have no
emails in my yahoo account anymore, due to not reading.
so, i just want to cancel the windows mail and go back to just using my
yahoo account, but i need all the emails to get back to my yahoo account. i
was told the only way is to email myself all 1500 emails. i have been trying
to do this and of course it won't.

Error message i get:
The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Re: My Dream Dog!!!',
Account: 'Yahoo', Server: 'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

This happens every time. Can anyone help, PLEASE!!!!!

Hi Gary,
I changed the port to 465 and made sure the SSL is enabled, but it still
isn't working. This is the newest error message:
Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of
inactivity. Subject '2nd try', Account: 'Yahoo', Server:
'smtp.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): No, Socket
Error: 10053, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F


Any ideas now? I have been to Borders for 4 hours straight looking for
troubleshooting for this problem with the Window Vista books and nothing so
far.

Also, is there a certain Windows Vista info book that you would suggest that
is the easiest to understand and the most info?

You haven't enabled SSL....

Tools - Accounts - youraccount (Yahoo) - Properties - Advanced
Outgoing port 465
[x] This server requires a secure connection (SSL)

Incoming port 995
[x] This server requires a secure connection (SSL)
