My Op Sys is Vista with windows mail 6.0.6 for Vista and att.net email
address. Incoming Mail Server POP3 - ipostoffice.att.net, port 465.
Outgoing Mail Server SMTP - imailhost.att.net, Port 995. The SSL boxes are
each checked. I have been using these settings for a couple of years.
Today I connected through a new wireless site and downloaded my email
without any problem but none of my responses will go out.
When I click on send I get the following message: 'The server you are
counnected to is using a Security Certificate that could not be verified.
The Certificates CN name does not match the passed value. Do you want to
continue?'
When I click Yes I get the following email error:
"An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Re: Mexico', Account: 'Micasa',
Server: 'imailhost.att.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes,
Error Number: 0x800CCC0B"
I searched this site for an answer and tried what I could find and nothing
helped.
I removed the SSL checks, I put them back and left the port as 25, I added
worldnet back to the server name (It has been gone for a couple of years), I
have shut the system down and started over (several times). DO YOU HAVE ANY
SUGGESTIONS OR IDEAS AS TO WHAT HAS GONE WRONG?
