Can't send mail

When I want to send mail it goes directly to the out box and messag reads,

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'Casa Sorrento', Account:
'pop.aol.com', Server: 'smtp.aol.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL):
No, Socket Error: 10013, Error Number: 0x800CCC0Ee
How can I fix this

Windows Mail is part of Vista. Meaning the instructions work for Vista
Windows Mail.

If after following those instructions you get a new error message,
post it here.
 
Thanks for all your help I finally got it working. Found out that there was a
contact on my mailing list that has a full mail box and after removing that
contact I was able to send my e-mails. Agian thanks
 
That's not it.
That was not the problem ( your contact's full mail box ), nor was the
solution ( delete the contact ) a correct one.
But, since you will not listen to me, there is nothing I can do.
Your problem will return.

Some people don't listen. Some people listen but don't admit they made a
mistake. Hopefully it is the latter in this case.
 
I agree that the OP's fix doesn't match up with the error message.
It's possible that there are multiple issues, some of which are transient.
