Can't send from the outbox

After I compose and send a mail it sits in the outbox unsent. Even clicking
on send and receive does not clear the outbox. Does anyone know how to fix
this problem?
 
Search for stuck outbox in this group to find the download link for a free
utility written by Steve Cochran which will remove the stuck message in your
outbox.

I and several other people have had the same problem. Go to

www.oehelp.com/wmutil

and download Steve Cochran's utility. Use the utility (after unzipping) and
compact your e-mail and the problem will go away. It did for me.
