cant send emails

Do you get an error message when you try to send? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.
 
My error message is: The connection to the server has failed. Subject
'Emailing: DSC_0332 2', Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server:
'smtp.comcast.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error:
10013, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E
and
Account: 'mail.comcast.net', Server: 'mail.comcast.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR invalid command', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server
Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18
 
The first error is due to using an incorrect SMTP port.
Comcast has switched to port 587 instead of port 25 for SMTP.

For the second error, do the following:
Go to Tools, Accounts, select that mail account, Properties, Servers.
Make sure that "Log on using Secure Password Authentication" is not checked.
Also make sure that "My server requires authentication" is checked.
