I'm having the same problem as peterchinphoto (wow! i just said that outloud).
Anyway.... I'm using ATT.NET and I can't get my outgoing server to work.
I've set it up just like it should be. Even used ATT chat with tech support
and still no sending.
What's weird is I can't receive mail either unless I use the default
settings for my incomming server. Anybody got a clue?

Do you get an error message when you try to send or receive? If so,
right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without the complete error message.

For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your e-mail service provider.

The rejected e-mail address was 'lisa schiro@yahoo'. Subject 'Fw: THE LORD'S
PRAYER -- Rather cleverly done.', Account: 'pop.west.cox.net', Server:
'smtp.west.cox.net', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 5.5.0 <lisa
schiro@yahoo> '@' or '.' expected after 'lisa'', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No,
Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

Just like the error message indicates, the recipient's email address
has an invalid format ( lisa schiro@yahoo ).
You can't have a space in the email address.
Also, yahoo part should be yahoo.com.
