Hope you can help??!! I've changed ISP's I'm now with TPG but when I tried
notifying all my contacts using Windows Mail it throws up an error message
"The message could not be sent. The authentication setting might not be
correct for your outgoing email (SMTP) server. For help solving this problem,
go to Help, search for 'Troubleshoot Windows Mail'......... If you need help
determining settings contact your email service provider.....Protocol: SMTP,
Server Error: 550., Error Number: Ox800CCC79."

I tried in vain contacting TPG and Microsoft wanted to charge me $80.00. Can
someone please help me - I can receive emails and reply to them but just
can't create a new mail.

OPTUSNET sounds like the name of the company...
Your outgoing mail server should be something like smtp.optusnet.com. Your
incoming mail server should be something like pop.optusnet.com (assuming
this is a POP3 account).

You will need to go into the Properties of your existing mail account
and change the name of the outgoing (SMTP) server to
mail.tpg.com.au.
