Continually get this message : The message could not be sent. The
authentication setting might not be correct for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP]
server. For help solving this problem, go to Help, search for "Troubleshoot
Windows Mail", and read the "I'm having problems sending e-mail" section. If
you need help determining the proper server settings, please contact your
e-mail service provider.

Have been able to send in the past. Tried to fix as told in Help ..to no
avail. Only happens with one particulaqr email address that is accurate and
was previously successful

That was NOT the ENTIRE error message. The other part that you omitted was
the part we need to see.
" Authentication " was mentioned from the message shown. So, try this >>>
Without knowing which e-mail program you are using, go to the window where
you had entered the server names.
Find the box that says " This server requires authentication ", or words to
that effect. Put a checkmark in that box.
If you are using Outlook Express or Windows Mail :
Tools > Accounts > your account > Properties > Servers. Under Outgoing Mail
Server heading, check that box I mentioned.
If that does not help, post the missing half of the error message.

t-4-2

You say it is only happening on one particular email address - right? All
other sends work - then it is probably not the setting t-4-2 mentioned
(although you can always try it and set it back) - that setting however
affects all email, not just one.

Despite what you say, "it is accurate", the error indicates it is not. Try
sending the email directly logged on to the ISP (not from WM) and see if it
goes . . . . compare the address to an old email that went out to that
person (and to your ISP address / contact), and compare it to an email you
received from them . . . . call this person to ask them their email address
.. . . . do you have a friend in common - verify with them that their emails
to this person work.

Most likely something is not quite right with the address - look at it
carefully - verify it with the person - compare to other sources . . . . . .
.. maybe they've discontinued that one and got a new address . . . . .

Send cut - n - paste of any further error messages to here for further
assistance.
