I get the same thing! I get incoming mail but can't mail out ---- here's the
error message i get --- has anyone solved this? Thank you`

The connection to the server has failed. Subject 'test 15', Account:
'POP.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'att.yahoo.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465,
Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

Don't go changing the server name. You have the correct server name.

It looks like your Internet connection was not being obtained from
PGHconnect at the moment you got that error. Were you using the
laptop away from home at a Wi-Fi hotspot?
Let me know the circumstances, and I can help you.

Marv, in the future please start your own thread instead of hijacking
someone else's.
Your error message shows two mistakes:
The outgoing server name should be smtp.att.yahoo.com.
Also, you must enable the SSL option: Go to Tools, Accounts, select
that account, Properties, Advanced, then check the SSL option
(two places).
