I can't send any emails in windows email, windows live or even thunderbird

I can receive, but not send. I have removed McAfee and even reinstalled
everything on my laptop wit the same results. I get the following message

The connection to the server has failed. Subject '1', Account:
'mail.specialsystemsinc.com', Server: 'smtpout.secureserver.net', Protocol:
SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

I have even tried different email accounts and get the same results.

It was working just fine two days ago.

So what do I do now?

Fix the port as Gary says and you should also consider
what should be a default answer to WM issues...

Get rid of Norton or McAfee AV if you have the misfortune
to be one of their victims (customers.)

Gary,

Thanks, that worked. So how do I find what port i should be usin? I have
another email account that is with Nuvox.net. It was giving me the same
problems. Should I be able to find it from their Wed site?

Thanks Again for the help.

Gary,

Okay you have fixed all my problems so far, so one more. I still can't get
my other email account to work. Again this was working a few days ago to
along with the other one you helped me with. This one is swbell or att's
dsl. the outgoing server should be mail.swbell.net. That is what I had been
using. I get the following message.

The host 'smtp.swbell.net' could not be found. Please verify that you have
entered the server name correctly.
Subject 'test', Account: 'mail.nuvox.net', Server: 'smtp.swbell.net',
Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11001, Error Number:
0x800CCC0D

again I can receive email on this account (It actually comes from nuvox) but
I can send out on my ISP (at&t).

So I guess its another port issue. I have looked online and found several
different setting, but nothing has worked.

So any ideals?

Thanks for all the help

Thanks Gary,

Yes it changed to att which i tried, but never checked the ssl and needed to
use the password for my ISP and not my regular email passwords. Took a bit
to figure it out.

Thanks for the help.
