I have run through the entire Windows Live setup- said it was successfull,
when I try to send, I get a box asking how I would like my name to appear,
then how others see my e-mail--- which is Hotmail.com, then I get a message
that Windows mail no linger supports the HTTP servers of web-baes e-mail
providers. It states that I need to install Windows Live. I DID THAT! What
do I do nest? Can't tell you how frustrated I am now. Please help!

You may have installed Windows Live Mail, but you are using Windows Mail,
which can't access any http email account.

Try starting Windows Live Mail.

"Windows Live" is not a program, it is the group name for a whole
suite of programs:
http://www.windowslive.com/Get

Please be more specific about which program you installed.
If you are trying to set up a Hotmail account in Windows Mail, use the
settings given here:
http://mailcall.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!CC9301187A51FE33!49799.entry
but use port 587 rather than port 25 for the SMTP server.

Although it accepts the newer Live.com addresses, Windows Mail's
account setup wizard is hard-coded to reject Hotmail and MSN addresses.
To get around that, when you enter your Hotmail/MSN email address initially,
use a fake one, such as (e-mail address removed). After the account setup is complete,
go back and correct your email address.
