Can't send e-mail

When I try to send e-mail I get an error signal. I can
receive but cannot send. I am using XP-SP2 and Outlook.
After I create a Message and hit the send button in the
create windwo the message in the Outbox is not italized.
The system treats the message as if it has alread been
sent but it still shows up in the Outbox as an unsent
message. Thank You Gene

An error signal???
You didn't list the error.
it sounds like you didn't set up your internet mail
service properly. it you gave it the proper address to
receive mail, but not to send it! Hard to say when you
don't give enough info!
