These 2 messages popped up. I have tried my Email address, my name, and my
computer logon account name, nothing works to allow me to send an Email. I
have added a password and removed passwords...What does it take to send an
Email?

Account: 'mail.montrose.net', Server: 'mail.montrose.net', Protocol: POP3,
Server Response: '-ERR Unknown user or incorrect password', Port: 110,
Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Account: 'pop3.catalog.com', Server: 'pop3.catalog.com', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC17

First of all, those error messages reflect a receive operation failure,
and have nothing to do with sending mail. Note that when you click
on Send/Recv, two different operations are taking place, Sending
and Receiving. By clicking on the small down arrow next to that
button you can separately select Receive All and Send All. For
diagnostic purposes, it is better to do one operation at a time so
you get just the error message associated with that one operation.

If I had to guess, I'd say your problem is due to email account
corruption caused by the email scanning feature of your antivirus
program. You must disable (turn off) that email scanning feature.
Next, delete the email accounts that are giving you trouble.
Then close Windows Mail, open it again, and create the email
accounts again. It should work now.
