Greetings Jay,

How is your "home network" configured? In order to send files through your a NAT (router, or
other "internet sharing" software), the NAT must support either built-in Messenger file
transfer support, or Universal Plug and Play (UPnP). As well, you'll need to use Windows
Messenger 5 or MSN Messenger 6 (which supports UPnP-enabled file transfer):
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/messenger/download.asp <- Windows Messenger 5
http://messenger.msn.com/Download <- MSN Messenger 6

If you are using a router, a number of routers now support UPnP, but they may need a firmware
update. Check your router manufacturers website to see if there's an update for UPnP, or
simply reply back here with the brand and model of the router and we can quickly check to see
if UPnP is available.

do you have a firewall ?

does it happen to only 1 contact or all ?

if so you need to configure it to allow ports 6891 to 6900 to be
openned.

for me it happens to only 1 contact and he lives 10 mins away from
me,and we're both on the same isp. i wonder why i can send to europe
but not to my neighbor ?
