Can't Select Option Buttons

Working In Access 2003.
I put an Option Group on a form, and then Put 5 Option Buttons into it, one
at a time, using the toolbox. Each option button caused the Option Group
frame to turn black when I did the drag and drop, so I know it went into the
Option Group.
Each Option Button has a different value (1 thru 5), and the first option
button was set as default.

When I run it, and click on any of the buttons, the selection does not
change! The first Option button remains selected. If I click on Option
buttons 2 through 5, 1 still remains selected.

What am I doing wrong?

TIA
Dave

I'm not yet up to the point of asking what the value is. The option button
selection indicator will not change on the form (you know, the black dot
inside the selected option button?) When I click on any of the other options,
the selection indicated does not change, so the value has nothing to do with
it.

Press on the group frame and see oif all the buttons are selected, there will
be a small dot on top of each button, check button 1 if it is included.

Also the default should be in the group option and not in button1 (just in
case you didn't do it that way)

Yes, when I click on the Option Group, all 5 of the Option Buttons are
selected (with a black box in the top left corner of each option button).

I have the default value of 1 in the Option Group, not the Option Button, yes.

Sometimes it is better to build it again then try and figure out what happen,
try building it again using the wizard to specify 5 buttons with the default
