can't seem to view source code

when i click on view source code, nothing happens. Also
the "edit" icon on toolbar doesn't seem to work either.

Does anyone have suggestions?

I'm using IE6.0 on Windows 2000 Professional. I've been
having this problem, too.

I just discovered that closing the last IE window does not
end the process IEXPLORE.EXE. (Funny how the File menu
has "Close" but no "Exit." It's true!)

Go to the Task Manager and select IEXPLORE.EXE under Image
Name on the Processes tab. Then, click End Process.

Restart IE and you should be able to View > Source again!

This is usually fixed by emptying the Temporary Internet Files.

Also, if you have a shortcut to Notepad on your desktop rename it to Npad.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this.
 
Parasite alert!

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
