Can't see workgroup....

I have multiple computers and a couple of wireless laptops that all have
files being shared between them. All the PCs are running Windows XP (home
and Pro) with all the updates installed. The PCs have been able to connect
to each other and share files up until recently. None of the settings or
configurations have been changed but now I am only able to see the internet
and not the other PCs in the Workgroup. The PCs are running Windows Defender
with Firewall enabled. I have even tried to disable the firewall with out
any success. The entire network is via Linksys Switches, Router, Wireless
Access point and a Linksys Print Server. The only thing that I can see that
is slightly different now is the the TCP/IP is stating Version 6 and some of
the other units do not state that. All Units can see the internet but not
each other in the workgroup. I can not even see the printers that are
connected via the Print Server.

Does anyone have any ideas of what could be the problem? I have deleted the
network, disconnected the network and reconfigured the systems with out any
success. Any information that you can provide me is greatly appreciated.

I am having the same problem. I am able to ping each device that has an IP
Address w/o any problem, but when I try to view computers within workgroup I
get the don't have permission dialog screen. Each PC and laptop has internet
access as well. I am using the firewall from the router.

Ditto here...the network used to work flawlessly. I had to install "Network
Magic" in order to share files/printer, but I'd rather not have it on the
system. Three computers on the network, 2 winxp pro and one vista laptop.
Internet works fine, so the connections are good, but I can't "see" the other
computers from any other computer. When I click "view workgroup computers" I
only get the computer I'm sitting in front of.

Probably messed everything up bad by running Network setup wizard multiple
times and installing Network Magic, but I've spent HOURS trying to get this
to work to no avail. Other help forum point me to websites (Like EZLAN.net)
which have loads of helpful information that doesn't seem to help me. If I
don't know what the problem is, how do I know what to do or what not to do?

WIndows networking is a mess.
