Can't see video in Movie Maker

When I started moving clips to the timeline, I could no longer see the clips
in the preview box - its just black. When you select a clip and hit play you
can hear the audio from the clip but you can't see it and the visual video
pops up in a separate window, which makes it very hard to cut clips. How do I
get the video back into the preview box?

You may have some incompatibility issues
