I've looked around and it seems a few people are having similar problems, but
their solutions haven't worked for me. I think it all started when windows
updated its self coz it used to work fine. I now can't see any of my photos,
not even those from the net, in thumnails or in priview - I have to open up
photo impact, a program I can't stand and have no use for. I don't know if
this is conected but I also can't see anything when I try to change my
screen, though the picture comes up fineish on my actual desktop, I can't see
anything in that little picture of a monitor.
What's going on? how do I sort it?

I am having the exact same problem. Started about a week ago. I sure hope
someone has some advice because this is a drag!!!!

I am also having the exact same problem, someone come here and tell us how to
fix it because it is really starting to annoy me

==================

Try this, maybe it will restore the option:

go to...Start / Run and type:

"REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL"
(without the quotes)(Yes, there's
a space between 2 and S)

Click...OK.

A dialog box should report the following:

"DllRegisterServer in SHIMGVW.DLL succeeded"

Aha! I've sorted it, thankyou to the good people of microlink PC. I
uninstaled unlead photo impact and everything just sorted its self out. Hope
this can help the rest of you.
To uninstall... MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COPY TO REINTALL LATER IF YOU NEED IT
AND THAT YOU WON'T LOOSE ANYTHING THROUGH DOING THIS, go to start, controle
pannel then add or remove programs. You'll see a list of all programs, scrol
down till you find photo impact then click on remove.
For legal reasons I will add that I hold no resposibility for anyone doing
this, it is at your own risk, though it didn't give me any trouble.

Hi, click "Start", then "Run". Type REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL into the box and
click enter. Click OK to suggest that the test has ben successful.

Right click on a folder containing an images (or images). Click on
"Properties", then on "Customize". Select "Pictures (Best for many files)"
from the drop down list provided. Tick "Also applay to the Subfolders box"
below.

This should now work. Regards, Johnny
