Hello everybody,

I've got a problem with my digital camera (Canon A60) on the computer
powered by WinXP Home. The problem is that I can't see my camera neither in
My Computer nor in Scanners and Cameras section. The device is beeing
detected - I can hear a sound, the 'Device connected' dialog pops up, the
Wizard starts - but I can't use the option 'for advanced users' from the
first screen of the Wizard. I'm getting information that 'device couldn't
be opened' (or something like that, it's my translation from Polish).
There is no problem on the other computer with WinXP, so that's not a
camera problem too.

Does anybody know the solution? I've tried this tricks with TweaUI and
'Autoplay' section, but I'm affraid that's not the problem....

Thanks 'from the mountain' :)

From your description, it seems that the problem is with your USB port
itself. Check the port under Devices Manager. If you see some yellow
exclamation point in front of the USB device, something is wrong with the
port. Use the trouble shooting button there to try to resolve the problem.

Nop, it's not so simple. In Device Manager I can see my camera as Canon
Camera in "Imaging Devices" section (again, it's my translation, so in
english version it may vary). Any other ideas?

Do you have a lot of mapped drives.
I don't know if it is 'a lot of', but I have floppy drive, three partitions
on a local hard drive, two CD drives and 5 mapped network disks. (so there
are still free letter for new drives). But my camera can't work as a flash
drive (it doesn't have this mode).
