I can successfully connect, so says my connection
status. However, my remote desktop does not appear on my
home laptop. I have gone over the connection process a
zillion times without success. Any tips???

Some of the laptops are now coming with odd resolutions. You may want to be
sure that the PC and the laptop can both do the same resolution.

Try using another PC to connect instead of the laptop.

If you are going through a firewall, make sure you are forwarding both ports
1494 and 3389.

Only TCP Port 3389 is required for RDP...

Describe what you see.... Do you see a blank screen?

Also, how do you know you have successfully connected - this sounds
like you are using a VPN to connect. Is this the case?
