Can't see my uploaded graphics

I'm a webmaster. Once I load graphics to a page, and view them in my HomeSite
internal browser, I go to my FTP program and upload them.

In all cases, the text appears in the browser, but not the graphic.

Further, the coding for all images is stripped when I View Source. Only the
URLS will be there (if I was linking to a Web page).

Is this IE or XP Pro? I have SP2.
