cant see iPOD in My computer

Hello
I am using Windows XP Pro SP1 on my compaq Presario laptop.
When ever I attach my Fuji Finepix camera or ipod to the laptop, the devices
are detected, but they do not show in My Computer as removable drives, even
though they do on my Desktop PC. Therefore I cannot access my pictures on
the camera (ipod OK via iTunes but not as a drive, and its listed in
Hardware device manager)
Drivers for both devices installed

Can anyone help please?

Reboot your Pressario laptop after you plug the items in to their USB port
so WinXP can activate their files in Explorer.
