cant see images/photos on some websites

I just got my computer revamped. I went from using ME/IE5 to XP/IE6. However, with the older version of my computer images on websites, etc. came up fine. But now, on some websites all I get are broken images where they used to come up fine. I even downloaded a different browser to see if they would show up, but they still don't. This leads me to believe that the problem may be with something in XP and not in internet explorer. I have read a lot of posts on other sites about this and went through the troubleshooting on microsoft's website, but nothing has worked. If this has happened to anyone else please tell me what you did to fix it. I would be very appreciative. (Yes, I have flash, cookies enabled, and my other privacy/security settings are set at default)
 
Try Emptying your Temporary Internet Files cache
In Internet Explorer, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
On the General tab, click Delete Files.
