Can't See entire Setup Boxes To Install Programs

Ever since installing XP, I've often encountered truncated setup boxes when installing (or later changing settings on) various programs. The right side and bottom are cut off, as if it needs no word-wrap. Sometimes I've managed to click on the very tip of a button to proceed.

However, I now can't install Norton AV 2004 (the download or the CD), because I can't get to the button to indicate that I accept the terms! I
can't resize the boxes. and changing my monitor resolution does nothing, and I'm not (knowingly) using any magnifier options (the boxes don't look magnified). My display adapter is Nividia Riva TNT2 64. I tried turning off "write combining" (no change), and I'm way beyond my knowledge level.

Norton couldn't help; suggested I change my monitor resolution. (Nope, not the problem.) Techs at the local BestBuy told me they've never heard of the problem; suggested I see whether XP accessibility settings were changed to a magnifier option. (None that I can tell, and the display isn't magnified.) I know I can't be the only person with this problem; I even know someone else who's stumped too. I definitely would welcome help!

This could be a problem with DPI settings. Right click on the desktop,
select properties, go to the settings tab, click on advanced, and on the
General tab change the DPI setting to normal.

Thanks, Chris. Sounded promising, but it's already on 96 dpi. <?> -BJ

If only... ;>) Just toggles between Back and Cancel on frame of dialog
box. Thanks, though. (The crucual buttons are "inside" the box and are cut
from view.) -BJ

| Crude, but effective:
| Tab once for Yes, and twice for No.
|
| This might work. From Kelly:
