Can't save wmm2 video to any cd

I have a mysterious problem with my cd burner. I have windows xp home and use
the windows cd burning feature.
I have made several home movies using the windows movie maker 2 and had no
problem at all saving most of them to a cd. There is just one video that I
made that absolutely will not copy to a cd. I have destroyed (unwittingly)
five blank cd's now just by trying to save this file.

The only difference that I can think of between this problem video and all
the other video's that I was able to copy, is that this one is much larger
than the other ones.

The problem video is approximately 540 mb's. The other videos that I was
able to record to cd were much much less than that. The largest one was about
190 mb's.

My question is, could the reason for the cd burner not being able to finish
be caused by the size of the file? Also, why is the cd rendered useless after
my attempt to copy this video?

I have tried using both cd/r and cd/rw to save this video and have destroyed
both after the windows xp cd burner fails to complete the writing task.

Any idea's what I'm doing wrong?
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance of your expert reply.

I should add that after I try to save this file to a cd, the cd writing wizard
appears to be writing the file just fine, however, before it completes at
about 75% done, it gives me an error message that says"an error occured when
trying to write to the cd, the cd you are trying to write to may no longer be
usable"
and that's the truth. It aint no longer usable. When I try to put that same
cd back in the tray to try and copy anything else, the light just continues
to flash. If I try to write anything to it, I get a message that asks to
insert a cd.

hi im danny, can u help me! i have a sony digital mpeg4 camera, i transfer
fine to any programs and on to pc dvd but i cant convert the files to play

What software are you using to capture your video? Be sure the software
you're using will support the conversion of mpeg4 to dvd.
I've had no problem using "Ulead DVD movie factory" to capture and convert my
home video's to just about any format I want to use.

You could also try posting your question under a new thread. It is more
likely to be read by more people that way, who may also have some input for
you.
