I have a mysterious problem with my cd burner. I have windows xp home and use
the windows cd burning feature.
I have made several home movies using the windows movie maker 2 and had no
problem at all saving most of them to a cd. There is just one video that I
made that absolutely will not copy to a cd. I have destroyed (unwittingly)
five blank cd's now just by trying to save this file.
The only difference that I can think of between this problem video and all
the other video's that I was able to copy, is that this one is much larger
than the other ones.
The problem video is approximately 540 mb's. The other videos that I was
able to record to cd were much much less than that. The largest one was about
190 mb's.
My question is, could the reason for the cd burner not being able to finish
be caused by the size of the file? Also, why is the cd rendered useless after
my attempt to copy this video?
I have tried using both cd/r and cd/rw to save this video and have destroyed
both after the windows xp cd burner fails to complete the writing task.
Any idea's what I'm doing wrong?
Suggestions?
Thanks in advance of your expert reply.
