Can't save movie

Saving a movie ends always in a blocked progress between 13 and 17% and
increasing time left for finishing from 30 minutes to houres

Who can give me an advise?

With your advised link (thanks) I checked my CPU loadrate during the
renderingprocess. It turned out that in +/- 4 minutes it collapsed from 100%
(DV-AVI 97%) to nearly 0 %

What shall I do? is my CPU (Athlon 64 ,3400+) not fit for purpose or do I
have to check the cooling?

I would still suspect incompatible source files.
