Can't Save Movie If It Includes Video

Dear MVPs... I like MoviePlayer2 but, I can't save my movie if it includes any AVI. Still shots and audio tracks are fine, but can't inlcude video. If I try with just 30 secs of movie, and thats all the project contains, same problem.

If I use "Save to my Computer" wizard
Select any playback option (high or low
the saving starts then I get:
"Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is still available, and that there is enough disk space an dthen try again"

I have been through the troubleshooter and no solutions there. (Its not over 4Gb, I haven't deleted the source files, its not a removable drive, more than 36Gb free)..

Any pointers welcome. Thx

OK, responding to my own question here. I have trawled through the various posts here, found the excellent papajohn website page on this topic (http://www.eicsoftware.com/pictures/PapaJohn/Website-MM2/MM2.html) - I have tried all listed here but no luck yet. I'll let you know if/how/when I get there. Thx
