I'm unable to export a movie project as a WMV... I'm getting the notorious
"cannot save the movie to the specified location" error.

I'm running WMM 2.1.4026 on XP.

The project is a 3-minute video.
All of the video segments come from a single 12-minute WMV file (downloaded
from Internet and converted to WMV)
There are also some jpegs.
I made fairly heavy use of effects and transitions.

I attempted to break it up into 3 parts to see if that would help. First
part (~1 min) exported without a problem.
2nd part wouldn't. As an experiment I kept cutting video segments and trying
to export. Eventually I got it down to a single video segment (with no
effects or transitions on it) that wouldn't export. However, some other clips
DO successfully export on their own.

As I said, all these clips are just "trimmed" segments from a single video
file. WMM apparently just doesn't "like" some of these clips for some
reason...

Does anyone have any idea what is going on???

I greatly appreciate any advice and help.

Thanks,

Mike

Because a WMM "project" (MSWMM) is not a movie yet. It's just the builing
blocks the final product contains. You need to SAVE the project (as movie)
before you can "export" it.

{You can also retain the original "project" in case you want to edit it
later, even after you've SAVED it as a movie}
