Can't save movie files

I've tried saving movie files to my computer, cd, and any other option, but all that happens is the progress bar pops up and then I get an error. The error says to check to make sure I have enough memory and access to write to the destination. I have plenty of memory and it's a home computer so it logs on as admin, and why would it do this if writing to a CD? Any help would be great.
