Hi,
I can create and save an HTML file but can't save changes to an existing
HTML file.
When trying to save using Notepad, the error window says:
Cannot create the
C:\Users\Roy\Desktop\WebPages\test.html file
Make sure that the path and file name are correct.
When trying to save using Notepad++, the error window says:
Save failed
Please check whether if (sic) this file is opened in another program.
What I can do with Notepad (I haven't tried any work-around with Notepad++)
is to first save the .html file as a .txt file, then open the .txt file and
successfully save it as a .html file. I tell you this as a possible
diagnostic clue; it is by no means an acceptable fix.
This problem appeared suddenly out of the blue. I can think of nothing that
might have caused it. I have tried the usual stuff, such as re-booting, but
nothing has worked.
Thanks for your help,
Roy
