I want to use Good Will Hunting to make a presentation to other colleagues in
the office. Movie Maker will not allow me to import anything from this movie
when it is inserted into my CD drive. First, is there some problem using a
regular Hollywood movie to copy from? Secondly is the problem that I'm
trying to capture clips from my own D:/ drive?

What I really need to know is how to capture images from this movie (Good
Will Hunting) in the Movie Maker program. Once I can do that I should be
able to work out how to take it further: making text, fading out, etc.

If you only have a CD drive you cannot
access a DVD.

If you just want screen captures, you can
do that when you play a DVD on your computer.

If you want actual video clips...you'll have to rip
the DVD and use a program like Movie Maker
to make the clips. If these are commercial DVDs
you'll need software that will override the copy
protection and fact is...it's illegal to copy them.
