I have been having this problem off, and on for awhile. When i go to save any
..gif,or.jpg files it automatically makes them .bmp. No matter what that's the
only option i get. I also can not veiw animations.
Also i've tried these options to help, and nothing has helped:
Disk cleanup
Defrag.
Emptying history,temp files,cookies,files.
everything i've done doesn't help.
I've also run my anti virus, spyware etc..I have Zone Alarm suite

Could you please give this some thought, and help me figure this out.

Hello Jaxxie21,

So what has this to do with WD?

You'll get more knowledgeable help in an IE newsgroup

Right-click any portion of the image, select Save Picture As, click the
arrow at the right end of the 'Save as type' drop-down list box, and note the
file choices. If you're limited to .bmp files, lE's cache may be full or it
may contain a corrupted file.

Good luck

Sorry i'm so lost on where to post.
Thank you,ill go find that forum.
ps-i'm limited to only .bmp files.
Thank you
Jaxxie

Open IE -> Tools - > Opciones Internet > Advance and look for the box
Actived animations in WEB pages, be sure is checked.

Zone Alarm maybe is the problem:

Open Zone Alarm, Privacy, Main. In the section "Ad Blocking", click over the
botton Custom. Uncheck the box "Animated ads" and click OK.

Nota: This intructiones maybe are not for the version of the product; please
check the documentation for information more exacta.

Also unckeck block of ads.

Good luck

I've seen replies to similar problems in the IE newsgroup (hint hint)
mention emptying the temp file cache for the browser. That is, when the
poster complained that saving a picture forced it to save into .bmp
instead of .jpg or whatever, the solution was to empty the browser's
file cache. It's a problem with the browser, not with WD.
