I was in the process of removing Kazaa and installing iMesh when Internet
Explorer and Windows Explorer stopped working. I can still open nearly all
of my other programs from the their desktop icons or the Start menu, but
cannot open those two, even from DOS or the Run menu. Explorer.exe is on
the list of running programs in the CTRL-ALT-DEL menu.

I've tried a system restore to an earlier date. Repairing Windows XP
(home edition) from the Dell Operating System Disk and even a full Windows
install (over the existing installation)
did not fix the problem. Any ideas? I'm hoping I won't have to reformat
the drive!

Thanks,
Ted Cody

Try running AdAware and/or SpyBot. These programs are easy to find and
remove spyware. You may have one or more spy programs (that watch what you
do and report back to their masters). Many of these programs are like
viruses in that they cause various problems with your computer.
