Sorry for a long post, but this is very important to me...

When I installed MS AS I selected to check for updates,
but then I canceled the updating. Now I've go a problem,
because I can't run a spyware test or do anything except
updating. I think it may be because of the update I
canceled because when I installed it on another computer
it ran with no problem. When I try to scan I just get a
blank screen, and the only thing I see is the application
Menu and 3 buttons in the right-up corner of the window:
spyware scan, real-time protection and advanced tools. I
click Spyware scan and then "Run Scan Now" and I'm back
again in the blank screen with 3 buttons. Please help me.

Hi

Try to scan in safe mode, press F8 during reboot/restart.

It is also important to clean out all temporarily files.

You can use this tool or built in Diskcleaner within
accessories

thx, you really helped me a lot. And BTW I didn't know
that ccleaner is such a great tool. Thanks again.

Well, we have a lot of junk within our PCs, MS,Third
party, normal browsing and spyware junk so this is too
much and this really slow down our PCs.

For example with todays harddisk IE:s cache can be several
hundreds of MB, so one "good practise" is to set it to a
minimum within IEs tool.

Hello, Plun

This is really a query about CCleaner. I have used it for a good while now
and find it very good for cleaning out the rubbish. However, last evening
my sister got a message from her Protvirus scan on startup implying
ccleaner\uninstall.exe was something to do with the w32bancosgl trojan. I
don't see how it could be, but I wonder if you could reassure me that there
is no horrid hidden code, or suggest why this showed up. (She doesn't use
MSAS - maybe she should!)

Hi AuntieKate.

I dont think so, I also checked with F-prot and I can´t find
anything.

This is a well known tool and read this:

She should use MSAS AND Adaware AND Ccleaner ;)
