First, I am running Windows XP Home with SP2 installed over a dialup
connection. Within the past couple of weeks, I have noticed that in IE6,
under Tools->Internet Options->Connections, the option always goes back to
"Never dial a connection", no matter how much I try to set it to either
"Dial Whenever a Connection is not Present" or "Always Dial My Default
Connection." I did some research on the problem and came across Jakub Moc's
suggestion of creating two files called fixdial.bat and fixdial.reg. I
placed both files in my C:\WINDOWS directory as per Jakub's instructions.
Here is the point in executing these instructions that I seem to be having a
problem:
Right click on fixdial.bat, select Properties, Program, Run - Minimized and
check the Close on exit box.
I can right click on the file and several options, including Properties,
come up. However, I am unable to find an option from within Properties for
Program or Run - Minimized. I can right-click on the file and select
"Open", but this doesn't seem to work. Any help? Thanks in advance.
