When I click on the program icon, there pops a message
exactly like that when installing a program for the first
time. It says "Windows Installer" at the upper left side
of the window and in the center it reads "The feature I am
trying to use is on a CDROM or other removable disk that
is not available." "Insert the Microsoft Office XP
Professional disk and click ok"
I used to press cancel and continue to use the program
with no further problem, since the first time it happened
I inserted the CD and followed the instructions but
nothing changed.
Now when I press "Cancel" the program completely runs but
inmediately there pops a box with a red circle and a white
X saying "Microsoft Excel has not been installed for the
current user. Please run setup to install the
application." It started happening without changing any
user's setting and the user actually trying to acces the
programs has complete access as an administrator.
What can I do to solve the "install prompt" problem and
the user situation?
Thanks
