HelpMS Windows 2000 system crashed; I put in fail-safe
mode, now I get no start-up screen, and can't re-enter
BIOS to change mode. How can I restart?
JK!

Try using "last known good configuration" option when you hit F8. If that
does not work, then try to boot from a floppy. If the floppy boot works then
you have some major problem with the operating system and may need to
reinstall. If it does not work you have a hardware problem - could be flaky
power supply, overheating cpu, bad ram, loose ide/cables, poorly seated pci
card, etc. You possibly can reinstall without loosing your data as long as
you do not format system partition. --- Steve
