can't remove aplication

I cant remove Kazaa in the standard way. the program seems
to be open but there is no display of it. when I go to
shut down or restart the computer asks to close kazaa.
when it closes kazza the computer never shuts down or
restarts. I have Windows 2000.
Is there another way to clean up this mess?
 
Do a search in the registry and delete every thing you find on Kazaa. This
may fix the problem.
